Alright...well my blog is gonna be short today cause im am tired after this long and exciting day. I got up and helped ms Gloria prepare breakfast which was delicious(shrimp crab and bacon omelet). Then we went straight to work assemblong the float with all the pieces from the prior night. Then the parade outreach. It was soooo awesome. We gave out about 400you tracks and a bunch of bibles and candy and atuff and it was just a cool way to reach the time people of Nome through a really fun activiry.
After that was the bank robbery reenactment....that was pretty stinkin cool. I about died when the "fake bomb" blew up. It was behind the bank but it made my heart shake ot was so loyd and pounding. After that.....came.....you guessed it. The polar bear plunge. Not as bad as i thought. I think i set my expectations so high that when it wasnt that bad...it was kinda nice and not excruciating. .
After that Aubrey and I had to go to the folk art festival becauae Ms Dorcas had a booth but as stated...she ia in Gambell with the Arkansas ladies so we worked her booth for her. She was selling handcrafted beadwork. We made her about 600some which is awesome seeing that all the monetly goes eight back into missions.
Okay so Jesus presents himself EVERYWHERE when you allow him to speak through you and be in cpntrol. I know i say it ALOT but its so true. So this girl from summercise walks in with her aunt and grandma and I say hi and just make small talk...no biggy. But then her grandma says thank you that meant more to her than u will ever know.
I saod your welcome....but felt convicted to go talk yo her aunt and her grandma (nana).
I knew about this girl previously from summercise. I know she is having a TOUGH time here and that she doesnt come from a great place in terms of home life. But i talked with her aunt and grandma whom she ia staying with ths summer. They tell me more about this awesome little girl and about how she gets made fun of constantly back home because she has aspergers and is just different.
I told them about youth group and they were SOOOOOOO excited. She ia coming on Thursday and I can not wait! She just needs friends who love her and will embrace her for who God created her to be. She has a rwlationship with Jesus already which is Great...but I dont know the deth of it . It is obviously not extremely high because she has very low self esteem. So lease keep her in prayer as she takes this step. I AM SOOO EXCITED FOR HER TO COME. She just needs love and friendship......and she WILL get it here. Jesus was just all aroubd there today and he helped me and apoke through me as I reached out to this girl desperate for a single friend. Praise the Lord!!! I am so excited! I lift His name on High it is so cool and great! What a glorious day this was!!!
I love you all!!! :) miss you!
Trust in Jesus and love always! :)

Heart WIDE OPEN for Jesus!
Okay.....so sorry I didnt post uesterday, but i will fo a really quick recap of what I did then get into the important stuff.
Thursday I woke up really latw and went straight to summer lunch. We had chicken tacos leftover and they were da BOMB!!! After that I basically went to the measeum and looked at pictures for a long time, and then went and got a chai tea with Aubrey. After that I went back to the church and made a desert for everyone (candy sushi) and then We had youth group bible study. It was on how no matter what decisions we have made.....we can always make the deciaion to turn to Jesus. Also, show people that they dont have to label u based on your past....but on your current relationship with Christ. Then the team watched back tp the future 2. Not an extremely eventful day....but i did try Herring Eggs...on kelp......little whitr fish eggs that were stuck to kelp.....that popped in your mouth as you ate them................yummy. :)
So on to today....which was MARVELOUS. Christ worked through my team today it was so incredibel. So I woke up early to go to the Childrens home. I called and asked if it would be okay if we came and the supervisor said" OH WHAT A BLESSING. I AM SHORT A WORKER TODAY! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!". So we went there and just loved on those kids. It is apparent that they dont get it alot. But i have fallen in love with a few individually. It ia tough seeing them in such a struggling situation, but it is very humblong at the same time. I would give up my life for any one pf these kids if it meant they could live to have a relationship with Jesus. And we are able to take bibles and atuff ehen we go, so that is a blessing. Hopefully we will do that Monday! They are seriously just attached when they meet you because they want your love, and I am more than willing to give it in the name of Jesus!!
After that, Pastir Bruce took us out to eat at Airpot Pizza for clam chowder (the lunch special). I dont usually eat clam chowder ......but this stuff was DELICIOUS! I ate that and a house salad and if was great haha.....enough bout the food...
After lunch the summer missionaries, Aaron (the guy who will replace pastor bruce next year), a missionary from Anchorage and the other summer workers went to Teller. Teller is a small....SMALL villiage about 70you miles away ftom Mome. As we drove there...i was not sure what to expect, but nothing could have prepared me for what this place was like.
The town consisted of three roads on a peninsula about a quarter of a mile long. This villiage if FULL of kids who are in NEED of love. Rhese kids get used for drug and alchohol transport...abuse.....and they are partaking in these activities at YOUNG ages...like 5-6-7people and even younger. When the van rolled into town, the kids basically started crowding the van cause they want attention. Our purpose for the trip was tp to take a little girl a fishing pole for memorizing verses at VBS the week prior (the VBS was held by the Georgia team I spoke about). She memorized the most but she ried with anothr girl so the other girl and a boy got the fishing poles so we wanted to take her one too.
But when we got there....our journey was far more precious than that. This little girl took us to the beach and kids just SWARMED around us. Seriously. They came from everywhere. Thwy simply wanted us to give them our attemtion...give them hugs....give them the time of day that the probably dont get otherwise. It was a very....very hard situation for me. It made me think to myself... "why God......why did you allow me to grow up in a home with loving parent. Why did you allow me to be sooooo greatly and bountifully blessed when these kids have NOTHING. Nada!!! They are victims of a horrid life. These kids need you more than anyone....and It is so hard for them to even recieve that at times because there arwnt many nearby willing to share it with them."
It was definately a tough experience. BUT...I allowed Jesus to work throufh me with His love...and ao many of those kids knew him. They showed that they knew Him. Some were singing VBS songs...others were wearing Jesus necklaces. It didnt matter....but Chriat was there...THAT IS WHAT MATTERED!!! :)
You know one thing I forgot to mention that I did on Thursday was go to the air show. It was like a car show but with planes. Anyways...while I was there, i met another pastor from the covenant church here in Nome. And he works also alot with the other villiages. And he said something to me that was really cool. He said "It doesnt matter how many times these people accept Christ by word of mouth....what matters is that they are doing it. Their hearts are being softened. And yes, it is true that missionaries are constantly going into the villiages and ministering to the people. So when a person there fecides to accept Jesus.....it is a step toward a full hearted walk that they otherwise did NOT have."It I just thought that was incredible! :)
So we left Teller and it was hard to say bye to those children...but I will see them again.
Oh.....and on the way back......get this!!! We saw a bear right? And the bear crossed the road and it was awesome. Then if a bwar isnt enough....we saw a moose and its baby....and if that wasnt enough we saw the bear try to attack baby moose...but then mamma moose attacked the bear. It was seriously something you would see on Animal Planet or Discovery Channel! It was the most LEGIT Thing ive ever seen!!!! I could notbelieve my eyes.
Then we stopped and fished at a river between nome and Teller....the Sivuc river i believe.....and AGAIN......NO FISH!!!!!!
We got back and started getting reaady for the midniggt sun parade wich is tomorrow. And ao we made all of the float decorations and such. We are doing outreach at the parade tomorrow. And ....i am also doing polar bear plunge in the Berhing sea.......yay!!! :)i i pray i dont freeze to death!
Abyways.....Jesus is seriously....SERIOUSLY workin theough us here in Nome AK. I miss you all and ai love you! GOD BLESS! And please...keep these wonderful Children of the alord in prayer.....it is needed more rhan you can imagine. Love you!<3

I Made Pho Bro!!!
Alrighty, well today was simpltly amazing to say the least! I had to wake up early but now matter.....it was so worth it! I woke up to go to the senior citizen home. Here it is called Quyaana care. Quyaana means thank you in.....one of the eskimo languages. Anyways, we went there to sing and minister to tje residence. It was so amazing to talk with them, and to sing with them. Some pwople kwpt shouting out their favorite hymns that they wanted to sing. All of the missionaries preached to them through encouraging verses and explanation. One of mine was obviously. 2 Corinthians 5:17 which talks anout the great news of new life. When we come to Christ, our old life is gone. No matter what we have done, or where we have been, it doesnt matter because we are living in Jesus NOW!!! It is one pf those verses to always keep handy as a missionary for sure! So we sang and ministered to tgem, and then, the coolest thing happened. One pf the more abled women spoke up and told us that it is so awesome to have young missionaries in their small villiage and how no matter what they are doing, thwy are reaching lives and it is such a blessing. She said that were were making a difference in the name of Jesus! And then her and another woman sang a song in their native language that was translated into a praise song! It was the most magnificent experience and feeling to know that they see the difference youre making for Jesus, and that they shared something with me I may NEVER hear again. It was the biggest blessing!!!!
After we left there, we went to the music ministers house to help her and her husband move their washers and dryers all aroun and get rid of their old ones. Some tough manual labor, but we helped out our brother and sister in Christ so it was pretty awesome and kinda fun to be honest haha!
After that, I went back to the church and Kayla and I got ready for summercise. Summer lunch went great, and summercise was a blast! We twsted spices in gardening class, made veggie sushi in healthy kitchwn, and we made swert potatoe fries in tast the rainbow. It was ALOT of fun!!! And really good truthfully! My kids are just to die for! We had alot less today, probably because it was HOT today...about 80.....and so people were prolly out doing real summer things! But one humerous thing that happened today was all the kids in healthy kitchen thought Phoebe(the teacher) and I were married.. it was quite the ordeal!!
You know, aside from all of the positives and amazingness about summercise, Christ is teaching me patience theough this program as well. Although I LOVE workib with kid, it isnt always raibows and butterflies like people imagine it would be. So througg this I am gaining patience out the wazoo! It is a blessing and I am so thankful to God fpr being my teacher in this tough life situation! Praise Him!
After summercise, the team who went to Teller got back, abd so there is currently....30 people under this churches rooof. It so awesome to be able to feel comfortable woth this many people. I look at my surrounding people, and they are all my brotgees and sisters. It is simply amazing! They are alot of fun and I love them already. I am sad that they have to leave so early:( (tomorrow).
After that, I helped Ms. Gloria make Pho. And then we ate and I then gave the Bible study. It went quite well I believe! I loved the study. Anger is something I struggle with, Gods message spoke to me through my own mouth haha! A majority was from Matthew 5:22-27. It basically speaks about anger dwelling within you. If you have anger, and you try to bring worship to God.......you may as well not even try because that worship is useless to Jim if you have ager festering within. Before you can cone before him, reconcile with the others whom you are angry with. Fix the problem before u cant.
Study was AWESOME. Then all the missionaries and the younger missionaries From the Teller team who are from Americus? Georgia, went ro berhing sea restaurant. We got some GREAT Milkshakes!!! We came back, wrote insprational things on the road in chalk, and then went jnaide to hang out with this awesome mission team feom Geaorgia! They have neen alot of fun, and I am excited to spend the day with them tomorrow before they leave. Should be a great day of fellowship.
My day ended with a good spiritual discussion with Aubrey while sitting on the kitchen floor. Yes I said it....kitchen floor! I love it down there haha!
I miss and Love you all dearly! God Bless!
Always keep this in mind to share with someone......It is never to late to come to Jesus. Come as you are and he will rejoice with open arms, welcoming you with celebration. Praise Jesus! Love you! !<3

Did Jesus ever get angry?
John 2:12-19
So, i was asked to lead bible study mañana, and i was told to do it on how to effectively and earnestly deal with anger according to the word of the Lord. It is incredible to study and trult understand how much an anger infiltrated lifestyle can hinder our walk with Jesus.
In this passage, Christ goes into the temple where Jewish people went to worship, and there was a bunch of booths set up by people who were buying trading and selling merchandise (basically havin a stinkin block party at the temple). Well, that is pretty dang disrespectful, especially at the house of the Father to demolish the worship time and environment of people going to the temple for its true purposes. Jesus was infuriated. He was super upset and upturned tables and just became uber upset with the situation.....
Now, anger is very negative and also relatioship hindering, but in this situation and many more, it is a form of jutifiable anger. With Jesus being the perfect being it is abvious that this event and example of anger was done with perfect intentions with the idea of keeping the Temple in use for its correct purposes.
I am in love with this study, and I cant wait to present tomorrow. I just wanted to share that with you guys!
Today was great, it started with me sleeping in, going to summerlunch and then headed back to the church!!! :)i After that, I went to take some of the women missionaries from Arkansas to the airport so they could fly to the island to go to tje villiage of Gambell:) we waited for quite a while with them and then left because we thought that everything was set for them to fly. So I go back tp tge church, and Aubrey asks me to go to the store with her! We went to the store and I thought it would be cool to cook din din for Pastor Bruce and Gloria. I bought all the stuff to make encjiladas, and I also bought Japanese biscuit sticks which Aubrey and I munched on cause they are so darn delicious! We lwft the store and went prayer walking. We prayed for Nome and for the hearts of its cotizens to be softened and open to the Gospel :)<3. It was just awesome to be in Gods open earth and pray for a group if people in need of Christs Love...praise God.
We went back tp the house and made dinner....where we kinda clogged the sink.....but we did end up gixin in with a little bit of elbow grease (and help from Tyler.......and the grace of God hahaha). We then went to the thrift store (kayla and I) and found almost 0a good finds today :(i how saddd..... and then went to One of our youth friends softball game. It was a great day, but sad cause JR left to missouri for a camp, and he wont be back till next month. Were all gonna miss him!!!!
After the game we went home abd just hung out with each other and enjoyed the company!!! :)i it was amazing! I filled out the paperwork so that next tuesday I can begin doing prison ministry, i just needed to get cleared before I could do that and I was not today. :(i but i cant wait to do that next week and reach out to tjose at their lowest points. That is where Christ is obviously most needed. I can not wait to see what God has planned for me there! I simply pray that he worls throufh me everywhere!
Tonight......we also clogged the toilet! But plumber Emmett and his assistant Aubrey saved the day! Today was just awesome and I cant wait to see what tomorrow brings! Praise Jesus!<3
I love you all, God Bless and listen to where the Lord is leading you! Life becomes more amazing that way! <3

Musk Ox Tipping!!!!
Okay, so I am curretly watching an infomercial with JR and Kayla about the Insanity workput......and we are convinced that it is a bunch of lies!
Anyways, my day was just Godsent. It was a day full of unexpected turns and laughs and feelings of the Holy Spirit! I woke up this morning early because we had a mission team of 7you women coming in from Arkansas. I was going to help carry in all of their luggage, but they didnt really need a big helping hand seeing that they are only staying here tonight and then tomorrow morning, Ms. Dorcas is leading them on a mission to Gambell (a small villiage on one of the islands). So I woke up and ate french toast, and then went back to sleep for a MUCH NEEDED NAP!! I was seriously sleep deprived. I slept till noon, and I got up to go to Summercise! I love those kids. I know i say it everytime, but i wish y'all could meet them! They are just the image of Jesus and full of Love and happiness!
Today in the Dietetics classes we made Salad, whole wheat banana muffins, and salsa! Twas awesome and the kids LOVED it! It was really cool today how I was able to talk about Jesus to one of the kids following a question they asked me (im really not supposed to initiate those conversations). So I always wear my purity ring as any people know. It is simply a symbol directedto toward myself about the commitment I have to Jesus before anything else!
One of the kids asked "Mr. Emmett, are you married?"It and I responded, "Well no, but it is a sign to show people that I love Jesus more than anythinelse in life." After that all the kids started shouting "ILOVE JESUS TOO!!" It a pretty awesome way to see Christ working in a place he was not welcomed. It even gave me the opportunity to speak with one young man who said he was from down south where he went to a baptist church, but his family has not found one here yet. So i told him about Nome Community! He said he was going to tell his parents and I pray he did :)
I always have to tell a funny story from summercise and so this one was really funny and so cute and sweet at the same time. One of the teachers asked the class which vegetables are leaves that we eat commonly. And some kids raised their hands and yelled "SPINACH.......ARUGALA......" Then a small girl raised her hand with confidence and yelled "SALAD" It was the funniest thing ever!!! :)
After summercise, I went back to the church and helped Ms. Gloria with dinner (which was burgers cooked beautifully by tyler and JR) I ate dinner and It was great! After dinner came the high of my day (which is something my moms always ask me)... I went musk ox wool collecting. The musk ox runs through all these areas where shrubbery and trees are located. As they run through them, their wool gets stuck on the trees and is available for us to collest. Ms. Lisa said that musk ox wool is the warmest wool on the planet. It is also the most expensive. One ounce of apun musk ox yarn costs 200 bucks. So we collested about a full teashbags worth.....which is not alot because it is so fine and light. But it was still magnificent I was literally about 10 feet away from the Musk Ox! It was seriously the coolest thing ive done EVER!
After that adventure, we went home and watched Gnomio and Juliet. Kind of ironic cause im in Nome.....but that was the] point! Today was full if great laughs with these incredible people, and memorable moments!! I love this place so much and it is so apparent that God needed me right here, right now!!
Praise Jesus forever and ever man! He is the best! I love you all, and i pray that the Holy Spirit can use you in a special way today! Seek to understand what God is doing in your life today! Sending Love from NOME ALASKA to one and all!
And again......i didnt really tip a. musk ox, because i would have died. Just sayin! (But i wanted to haha!!! God Bless errrbody!)

My "Fathers'" Love
So, today was absolutely incredible! One of those days that just made me feel the presence of God with every reoccuring step i took!
Today started with an EARLY breakfast of biscuits and gravy (moose meat gravy!!! :)i yummmm) but i couldnt eat much because i really wanted to go run through my sermon! My really good friend Logan and ai were told to give ther sermon in church and ao he did the first half and I did the latter half. It went SO AWESOME! God truly used both of us and spoke through both of ys exactly the way he desired! I also played a trumpet duet with the amazing musocian Kayla! Church was wonderful overall!!! :) Then, after church and Sunday school, i went and called my dads! First i called my dad and i talked with him for a while! Then I called my step dad, and it was such a blessing to hear their voices! I am 3000 miles away from them, but my love is ever-present with them! I love you guys and happy Fathers Day! After those much needed phone calls, I ate some of the Best rivs ive ever had in my life..... Moose! They were sooooo good and tender and simply succulent!!
Fisnishing this amazing lunch, Aubrey and I went to Ms. Dorcas' house to talk with her about some community outreach programs. It was such a gift from God to be able to hold the same heart for the people and homeless in Nome as Aubry and Dorcas do. I know the Lord is going to put us to work ever harder for the rest of my time here! And i cant wait!!!!
After we left dorcas', we went to the Store and then Aubrey and I went sea glass collecting! It was so awesome and we got some great finds! While out there, Aubrey gets a great idea to jump on all of the ice floating in the Bering sea. So I did it cause she was a little timid she stayed on shore on the rocks. So i jump out and i fall right through the ice and from my shoes up to my kneecaps I WAS SOAKED!!!!! Freezing water! !!!! Twas crazy!
Wgen we left the beach we were walking back to the church when i ran into a man i briefly met yesterday! We chatted for a while and ended up talking for almost 20a or 30is minutes about Faith and the Lord and it was just so awesome! I told him I would come visit him while I was in town! The Lord put this guy in my path and i couldnt feel more blessed!
We got back to the church and helped Ms. Gloria get together leftover pizza for dinner! Then, her and pastor Bruce went on a date, so we were left alone. I made everyone some peanut butter captain crunch bars and everyone loved them! It was. Great! . Then, out of no where at about 10 at night, we decided to go to the snake river and go fishing! We did not end up catchin anything, but it was fun. We got back and all of us just talked and fellowshipped together. And the only other really funny thing that happed just recently. Tonight was i grabbed a coffee mug, obviously for coffee and i go to tje pot. I push the button and ailly me placed the mug upside down! It was a mess but it literally LITERALLY had me on the ground laughing so hard ;)
Over all, it was an amazing day! I fel the Lords presence and anseeres to prayers canstantly all day :)i praise the Lord on high!!! :)
I am falling asleep so very easy right now, im exhausted! So i am extra sorry tonight if parts of this make no sense bu:t I am going to crash so hard when i am done writing this! :)i i love you all and God Bless!!!<3

I MET SARAH PALIN TODAY
Hey everybody!!! Today was amazing! My day started out by being awakened from a deep slumber! I was told that some people were going to the childrens home at 10.....and i was tired! I almost said i was too tired and it wouldbt have mattered because i was the only intern to tag along with the women from Texas. But, God woke me up and made me go, and boy am i sure glad he did. Those kids were just the neatest little people i have ever met! Some of them i recognized from summercise and some were new, but eithet way they were just littke balls of joy! One littke girl named Dawnelle came up to me because she recognized me from summercise. It was the greatest feeling and my heart was simply warmed. We took the kids some bibles and different things that would put a smile on their faces (coloring books, little toys and such).
One of the oldest kid there , has a pretty tough time
at this home. He doesnt get alomg to well with the supervisor, and he just feels out of place being with a bundle of small children. But, he told me that he just needed someone to sgow him some attentuon. He said "I just wish people would talk to me.I told him that i was happy to anytime he needed an ear to listen or he needed a friend to hang with. He is a cool cat just like all the other children. They arent orphans, they just have unacceptable home conditions theat cause them to wind up at this Childrens home. It breaks my heart, but I know Christ is moving and working his wonders every time i see one of these kids smile. Today, the oldest boy brought out his bible and read us some verses he really liked and that he underlined the night before. The awesome and magnificent happening is.....just the other day when the bible was given to him, he referred to it as "just another book". But,..... i think he has realized, through the grace of God, how amazing this one book can be.
Isnt it awesome. I think it is something we forget sometimes.....or atleast I do. Just how useful and holy and untouchable Gods word is. I mean it is LITERALLY an instruction manual on how to live your life. To It simply amazes me sometimes how i can turn to the Bible with basically any issue, question, worry or praise and find verses and passages to match my thoughts. ANY problem we have has just about been covered in that great book! Abd if it hasnt been.....well then why is it a problem to us anyways. The Bible is our most precious resource....and I just sometimes forget just how fantastic and excellent it TRULY is!
After i left the Childrens home....i went back to the church and ate some lunch and then some of us went fishing (I GOT MY ALASKAN FISHING LISCENSE). We got out there and it was FREEZING! Ice was rolling in...it was raining, the whole nine yards. So we were out the for about two hours and it was just toooo cold. So we came in and for a little while we watched a really interesting and cool animé movie with a girl from youth group named maya. Then, myself Aubrey, Emily, and Logan went to a lady down the streets apartment (who doesnt live there because she is suffering from cancer)to clean it out and prepare for a rummage sale they are having mañana!
When we got back to the church, there was Reindeer Pizza awaiting us and it was muy fantastíco!
So last night around like 1 AM...my team amd I went to Anvil mou tain, and it was amazing. It was so awesome to see God's creation in all its Glory right before my eyes. As i sat and fell deeper and deeper into mezmorization for my God..... I though about how much we take for granted her in this life. How God blesses us so much and we dont praise Him enough for the little things he willingly gives us simply because he loves us! I am so thankful to my heavenly father for allowing my to live the life im living making rrelationships with the people I LOVE! I lift Jesus' name on high forever more, and i cannot wait to sit next to Him for eternity!
I love you all! <3

I am Second.
Hey there everyone. I know I usually give you a run down of things and then sort of explain my title, but i thought today should be different. I was talking with one of my fellow missionaries Aubrey, and she told me about this awesome movement called I AM SECOND. It is basically a christ sharing opportunity that is practiced through the sharing of ones own priorities. GOD IS FIRST.we are second. I am so happy she shared this movement with me and I really hope to become an advocate in the near future.
ONWARD. So im really sorry i didnt post last night, but the wifi here at the church was down. But, here I am now so no need to worry. Yesterday and today alike started the same! The team got up and went over to the radio station KICY to do on air devotionals. This church does it once every other week but there was an opening so we did it two days in a row. It was pretty awesome having this opportunity seeing that i have radio experience, but it was a way different yet magnificent happening to be able to share the word on air!
After that some of us went down to the beach to play with some kids from the Childrens home. I actually didnt get to play with them because i had to leave early to make it to summercise and summer lunch. But, i did get to interact with a little girl on the beach later on last night, but ill get there in a moment. So i went to summercise, and it was great. We planted spinach in the fardening class, and ate fruit and i tried purple potatoes. It was pretty delicious. Something that i want to share from yesterday is a conversation i had with the youngest girl in my class Gabriella. She is just barley 7, and she is really little and just not as mature as everyone else, but she is so loving and has a huge heart. She came into class yesterday and was crying really hard. I asked her what was wrong and she said, "It My best friend told me she hated me. I try to be very nice to everyone but nobody is nice to me back."
It about tore my heart out. I loved on that little girl, and just showed her attention and by the end of class she was back to interacting with the other kids. Even though it was so hard to hear her say it, it was almost beautiful to hear and feel the expression of compassion coming from a 7 year old. She insists on being loving even though others were not toward her. Praise be to God <3
After summercise, we had bible study that was led beautifully by Kayla!! :) it was about not showing favoritism, and about how we should constantly be the good sumaritan.
Finally my eonderful day ended with Midnight sea glass collecting and fishing....because it was really warm last night and obviously bright outside, so why not. It was so awesome to be able to do that! While on the beach, i met a little girl named Kaylee, and she helped me find sea glass. She is from Nome and is only like 5, and ahe looked real sad and lonesome because the adults she was with didnt wanna be at the water, but she just shined bright when I asked her to help me. She was so excited and ao sweet!!
Yesterday was incredible, and God is doing some amazing things here in Nome through my team and I and through this church. Lives are being touch! Praise Jesus, and I lift His name on high for all of the Love he is willing to offer! Miss and love you all!<3

I can rescue.....But ONLY Jesus can save!
Today was quite the action packed day here in Nome! A brief rundown consists of me waking up around 10. It was nice, I got to sleep in abit!!! Then i went nd helped out at summer lunch program around noon thirty. Then Pastor Bruce took me out on the quads (or since people here dont know that term, 4 wheelers) to make sure i could handle all of their awesomeness!!! Then i went on a tacky tourist tuesday adventure with Kayla!!! It was a great GREAT afternoon. We took pictures with the Nome signs, and the Iditarod finish line and some really fun stuff. I bought a Nome sweater which i shall Rock once i get back to the lower 48. Then we went to the store to buy stuff to make homemade hummus, which we will undergo tomorrow! Finally, we went thrift store shopping at the second hand store or as pastor Bruce callas it Nome Nordstrom. I got some great finds!!! Oveelrall, a fantastic day!!!
Yet, there is one thing I really want to share with everyone today that is very exciting! When Kayla and I went to help at the summer lunch program, we got to talkin with our supervisor Beth. Beth is so awesome and so much fun, and just a sweet girl. Iinvited her to church on Sunday because she explained to us that after moving countless times in her adolescent years, she simply never found a place that clicked. Please, to all that read this blog, keep Beth in your prayers. It would be so awesome to see her flower even more into the magnificent woman she is through the family of Christ. Also, pray that the team interacting with her can show her the Love of Christ through our everyday, simple actions. Pray that God allows her to see Jesus over the next couple of months, and allows Him to change her! As my title states....i can do my best to rescue somebody....but only Jesus can save.
ACTS 4:12 states it all!!!!.....<3 praise be to God, and I love you all!!

Chuckie Cheese!!
Today was AWESOME!!!!! Today started out with a trip over to Nome Hospital to apply for the childrens Summercise program. I did the whole rodeo - application (14 pages) the fingerprints, and i even peed in a cup!!!! When we left the hospital, we ran back to the church and got some food because i was starved, seeing how im not a breakfast eater...by noon i needed some grub!!! Kayla (my awesome summer mission teammember and my summercise partner for mondays and wednesdays) made us chicken nuggets! Then we headed to the rec center for our first day at the summercise daycamp! These kids are incredible!!!!!! Seriously! I fell in love with these kids! I was placed in the nutrition classes where kids learn about healthy lifestyles!! (so summercise is a youth camp here in Nome that strives to prevent diabetes). I made some really cool friends in the teachers, but more special in the kids. One young man that sticks out is a boy named Martin. He was the trouble maker in the class, but by the end of the day he was my main man! He was being very disreuptive in class and teacher pheobe asked him numerous times to quiet down, so finally i went up to him and strted chatting with him QUIETLY to keep him from disturbing the other kids' learning process. We got to talking and THIS KID IS A RIOT!!!! I asked him if he alwaus livesd in Nome, and he says '" No, i used to live in Anchorage, but now i only go there to go to Chuckie Cheeses where a kid can be a kid!"I ABOUT DIED LAUGHING!!! He was so funny! And the another little girl was talkin up a storm with me and then when she started eatin her yogurt, she stopped for a good 5 minutes. Then, out of nowhere, she lookes at me and says "Ive never been to jail!" It was so funny and cute because it had nothing to do with our conversation!!! So that portion of my day was AWESOME, and i cannot wait to go back on Wednesday and just show Christ's love to these kids. They are just bursting with brite minds and if i can show thwm Christ theough my actions and words and Love, then they can truly shine to their brightest potential!<3 when i got back to the church, pastor bruce did a late orientation with us and it was about 3 hours long, but didnt feel it. Then we ate dinner and laughed with each other and made survival bracelets and just enjoyed the fellowship and company of evceryone . After, all of us summer missionaries talked and just rejoiced in the company. It is such a blessing to have these people in my life that i am certain I will someday see in heaven! And until then, i pray to always keep touch with these magnificent Christ like people! Kayla, Logan, Tyler, Aubrey, Emily, Hunter, JR, Pastor Bruce, Ms. Gloria, and everyone I have met under this roof have made such an impact on my life already! Aubrey is so fun loving and Jesus Loving and it is apparent in her everyday life! Imma miss her ALOT! Kayla is a young lady who is on fire for God and Loves getting out and getting work done. Definatrly someone I am going to miss dearly when August arrives!! LOGAN IS THAT GUY WHO IS Such a great lifelong friend whom I feel almost a brotherly bond with already! Tyler IS that big brother figure whom i look up to for his leadership qualities and strong faith! Emily is so sweet, and a genuine girl i love getting to know! And Hunter is a funny dude that makes everyone laugh! J.R. is awesome and one of those people you want everyone to meet!!! I truly am having a blessed time here in Nome Alaska! I lift Gods name higher and HIGHER EACH DAYbecause of the awesome adventure he has sent me on! I am so happy to be here, and so happy the Lord sent me here! God is Great and the light of my life, and i am so happy i am able to share that with everyone here! Praise him forever!!! I love ya'll!!!!

Day 2: Elephant Vanilla Chai Tea
Today was utterly magnificent! I woke up around 9these o'clock to take a shower and eat something before church which started at 10am. THE CHURCH SERVICE WAS WONDEROUS! Pastor Bruce Landry is just the nicest guy and an awesome pastor! Today in Sunday School we studied Acts 10:9-22 which talked bout Peter and a message of moving beyond cultural limits and being more open minded toward other people.
Then, in BIG CHURCH (so i got excited when i found out everyone else calls it that) all of the summer student missionaries spoke and gave their testimonies and basically gave kind of their introduction to the church body.
After church i ate reindeer......enough said! It was really delicious and i totally can't wait to eat it again! The team went to Airport pizza for coffee and i ordered an Elephant vanilla chai tea. IT WAS TO DIE FOR!!!!
We went back to the church and the texas mission team had gone to see a few things in Nome. My team qatched back to the future. I love that movie! Then i got up to go to the restoom and it had clogged up....so i went backand told everyone i did not do that.....but then a bunch of us guys fixed it before everyone got back home. We then ate dinner at 10 at night, and it was awesome. The hours truly just run together here! It is so cool! :)i i love you all, and God Bless. Keep the team in your prayers tomorrow as we begin the two month youth summer program. Tomorrow will be alot of paperwork! :)

Day 1: What camel type are you?
Whelp......today marks the completion of my first entire day here in Nome Alaska.......but i shall start from the beginning!
I jumped on my plane on Friday morning headed for Seattle and then Anchorage and then Nome. I met some really super Awesome people on those planes, and these plane rides made me realize how easy it is to witness to others about Jesus while in an airplane! :)
Then i made it to Nome i was extremely nervous and skeptical about the unknown. I walked into the church and i met Some of the most incredible people! My mission team is insanely amazing, and Pastor Bruce and his wife Ms. Gloria are the sweetest people i've ever met.
Since last night, i have become very comfortable around these people, and have really made some close and obvious lifelong relationships!!! :) praise the Lord!!
I woke up this morning and the team cleaned the church because a missions team from Texas got here at about 9 oclock off of flight 153.
After cleaning the church, we went outside and cleaned and gutted the few duck and swan Pastor Bruce had shot. eearlier this morning. It was pretty awesome, especially considering i got to eat the swan this evening!! :)
The Texas missions team got here and we all just had a great night! Church tomorroe at 10! Much later than what i am used to, but i shall not complain! !!!
Thank you Almighty God for granting me this opportunity and these immensely influencial people to come into my life! Praise Jesus!!! :) <3
P.S. sorry about my grammar and spelling errors!!! I am doing this from a phone!!
P.S.S. one girl from my team got humorously upset when we kept saying the eord blood while we were talking about blood doning...and so I said we should have a code werd......like camel....and it stuck! So from now on, caml=blood!!
